Monzambano is a small town in Southeast Lombardy, near its border with the Veneto region. The Gozzi family has been farming their property known as Fattoria Colombara (dovecot farm), since the 1920's when canals were built along the Mincio river, bringing irrigation to the town.

Today the brothers Franco and Cesare Gozzi have built a reputation as quality leaders in their province of Mantova. Steady investment in the property was crowned by the inauguration of a new fermentation cellar, with all the necessary equipment. The Matt Brothers have selected a Bordeaux-style red to represent the winery here. Called Rosso Saline, it is a Mantova DOC blended from Cabernet and Merlot. Its combination of depth and elegance should appeal to many tastes.
